My thoughts while chanting on why chanting will save your life
As I chant, I realize that, like the rest of you, I don't have a clue how to save our 6 billion plus people and the rest of this planet from fast-speeding imminent demise. The only thing certain is that when people appear in this world who embrace the true Law of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, the obstacles that will arise will be so huge as to seem to forclude definite complete disaster but the power of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is much more powerful that even the staunch faith of just one believer is enough to stop the inevitable. They say at least 1/3 needs to chant to realize the Buddha's unparalleled benefit, limitless peace and good health. That's at least 2 billion people. Only 12 million currently chant. Maybe approaching 13 million by now. But even my personal goal of 100 million as a result of my films will barely put a dent in achieving the 2 billion plus goal that's absolutely necessary to stop global destruction. So clearly every one of the currently chanting 12 million needs to really step up to the plate. There can be no excuses, no dropping off. Like Bourne's blink of an eye that results in the death of a roomful of people, anything short of full focus on the task of establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land will potentially put all 6 billion plus of us in immense danger. However, I figured out mathematically that if every single practitioner leads only one person to take faith every year--but it has to be every year without exception--within 10 years, the entire population of the planet will be someone who embraces the supreme teaching that is theonly thing that can save this planet. And while a lot more planetary devastation can happen within the next 10 years with thousands of lives destroyed, we CAN save this planet even in 10 years. And the good news is that if the whole world will be chanting in 10 years with this formula, the 2 billion needed will take only 8 years. So let's get busy. The lives of every one of us is on the line. As Churchill said, it may seem darkest now, but victory is definitely imminent.
